Website Launched

Today, the day of the launch of NASA’s Kepler mission, and Richard Dawkins’ speech in Oklahoma also marks another great event in world history. The launch of my official website.

After thinking hard and long about what content management system to use, I decided to go with Drupal. Wordpress is too limited and too associated with “blog”, a word which will not be used any more than it has to. Developing my own CMS has been far too time consuming and probably extremely insecure, so it will remain separate. In the end, however, no CMS can make my site really interesting, so as long as I have functionality with as little fiddling as possible, Drupal works. After much debate about whether or not I should actually have a website (and about 5 or so previous attempts), I think this one might stick. Although, I said that about the last 4 or so sites…
